National Fire Prevention Week is October 7th through October 12th this year. At The Fountains at Cedar Parke, we take Fire Prevention and Safety very seriously. Led by our Safety Director, Matt McGregor, our Security Department conducts 12 Fire Drills per month throughout the Community with the drills occuring on every shift. They also perform monthly testing and inspections of the Life Safety systems including fire extinguishers, smoke and CO2 detectors, fire doors, and nurse call systems. Our Director of Operations, Ed Fanz, conducts monthly Fire Safety Meetings with our Residents and reviews Life Safety, Fire Evacuation Plans, and Emergency Preparedness. He also serves as the Disaster Planner and meets annually with local and county Offices of Emergency Management in planning our annual Disaster Drills and reviewing our Emergency Operations Plan. Chuck Berwick, our Director of Maintenance, has a team of maintenance technicians who work daily on making sure that all aspects of the Community are safe from hazards. Assuring the safety of our Residents, Team Members, and Visitors is one of our top priorities here at The Fountains.
