The Fountains at Cedar Parke takes great pride in providing exceptional care for our residents. When walking into our skilled nursing department the unit clerk is often the first person you encounter. A smiling face that is expected to know all the answers, know where everyone is at all times, and anticipates the needs of staff and patients. As a unit clerk, I work under the direction of our nursing staff and physicians to coordinate patient appointments and perform clerical duties. The unit clerk also acts as a receptionist and communicates with patients on the phone and in person. The benefit of having a unit clerk is to make sure our nursing staff spend less time at the desk and more time hands on with our residents. We ensure the safety of all residents and make sure we provide a welcoming and warm environment.
